Since 2005, 23 districts and eleven independent cities have been working together in partnership for the very dynamic "Metropolitan Region" project. Together, we meet the challenges that the growing Europe demands from us all. The number of member municipalities is large, but that is probably why we work together in an organized and structured way - for the benefit of the inhabitants and the whole region.
The Nuremberg Metropolitan Region is the voluntary association of regional actors across administrative borders. This alliance opens up new opportunities. Visibility in the world and is our response to globalization.

As a sports region, the Nuremberg Metropolitan Region not only invites you to get active. It also offers interested parties and fans top-class league matches and world-famous events. The offer is clearly presented on the landing page of the top sports partners.
The heart of the website sponsored by NÜRNBERGER Versicherung is the sports calendar. It includes all home games of the Bundesliga clubs 1. FC Nürnberg, SpVgg Greuther Fürth, HC Erlangen, Bamberg Baskets, BBC Bayreuth and Nürnberg Ice Tigers. The internationally renowned events DATEV Challenge Roth and Norisring Speedweekend are also included.

The regional campaign "Unsere Originale" promotes the diversity of regional specialties and products.
